Schezwan chicken fried rice is an Indo-chinse dish. Its main ingredient is Schezwan sauce made from red chilies. It is also a popular street food because of its lip-smacking taste It is a perfect lunch box meal or to finish off some leftover rice.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Pre-cooked Basmati rice
- 1 teaspoon Chopped garlic cloves
- ½ inch Chopped ginger
- 2 tablespoon Carrots fine chopped
- 2 tablespoon Cabbage
- 2 tablespoon French bean
- 2 tablespoon Capsicum
- ¼ cup Spring onions
- 2 tablespoon Schezwan sauce
- 2 teaspoon Soy sauce
- ½ tablespoon White vinegar
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 tablespoon Oil
Instructions
- Heat a wok or pan, add oil once it is hot enough add chopped garlic and ginger and saute for few minutes.
- Now add chopped cabbage, carrot, french beans, capsicum and half of the spring onions and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes without burning the veggies.
- Then add Schezwan sauce, Soy sauce and white vinegar and combine well.
- Add the pre-cooked rice and mix well without breaking the grains.
- Now add black pepper powder and salt according to your taste and mix well.
- Finally, add the remaining spring onions and switch off the flame.
