Masala Bread Toast is made by tempering veggies and layering it on toasted bread. Masala bread toast is good choice as a snack and for breakfast.
Ingredients
- 5 bread slices
- 1 cup onion chopped finely
- 1 cup tomatoes chopped finely
- 1/2 cup carrot grated
- 1/3 cup capsicum chopped
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
- Butter to toast
- Salt to taste
To Temper
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin/jeera
- 1/2 tsp ginger chopped finely
- 1 no green chili chopped
Instructions

Heat oil in a pan add the items listed under ‘to temper’. Add onion, required salt – saute until golden.

Then add tomato, capsicum and carrot saute until it shrinks and raw smell leaves.

Add all the spice powders along with tomato sauce. Give a quick mix, add coriander leaves saute for 2 mins and switch off.

Vegetable mixture is ready, set aside. Now in a pan spread butter and toast bread slices until golden on both sides.

Spread the vegetable mixture generously.

Cut diagonally and serve Masala Toast hot!
