Masala Bread Toast Recipe

Masala Bread Toast is made by tempering veggies and layering it on toasted bread. Masala bread toast is good choice as a snack and for breakfast.

 
 
 
Ingredients
 
  • 5 bread slices
  • 1 cup onion chopped finely
  • 1 cup tomatoes chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup carrot grated
  • 1/3 cup capsicum chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
  • Butter to toast
  • Salt to taste

 

To Temper

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin/jeera
  • 1/2 tsp ginger chopped finely
  • 1 no green chili chopped
 

 

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan add the items listed under ‘to temper’. Add onion, required salt – saute until golden.
  • Then add tomato, capsicum and carrot saute until it shrinks and raw smell leaves.
  • Add all the spice powders along with tomato sauce. Give a quick mix, add coriander leaves saute for 2 mins and switch off.
  • Vegetable mixture is ready, set aside. Now in a pan spread butter and toast bread slices until golden on both sides.
  • Spread the vegetable mixture generously.
  • Cut diagonally and serve Masala Toast hot!
